Two steps away from Avenue Louise and towards Flagey, number 30 on Rue Paul Spaak, discover an address one would most certainly share among friends or peers. Emi's Rooms, a guesthouse full of charm, has three subtle and elegant suites, all decorated with the same passion. At 55, Rue de l’Ermitage, go to the Fondation pour l’Architecture, a place for any design lover : the foundation regularly exhibits great designers. On the other side of Avenue Louise, towards l’Eglise de la Trinité, Irsi on the right of Rue du Bailli, is one of the biggest names in handmade belgian chocolate, and offers its delicious pralines and traditional dragées. Stop at number 35 and try the many different flavours of Framboisier Doré’s handmade ice creams.
On Rue de Livourne, you cannot miss going to number 127, So!, a new concept store that only offers clothing and accessories made and created by 100% Belgian creators. Opposite, at number 154, you will find Notos, a restaurant where you can discover the flavours of modern Greek gastronomy. Opposite, the hotel and restaurant Chez Odette recently opened in a 1920s "maison de maitre" building, a traditional building with several stories. The hotel is somewhere between a boutique hotel and a priviledged hotel of yesteryear, in a luxurious setting. The restaurant serves seasonal dishes as well as traditional Brussels cuisine with a fresh spin. Rue Simonis, Arthus Gallery, presents the work of artists from multiple disciplines.
At Parvis de la Trinité, next to the church, you are on Rue du Tabellion, and want to discover exclusive objects for your own house and home ? Do stop by at Koi21, who is impossible to resist ... its large selection shall seduce you, no doubt about it. Two steps further, the lovers of art book will find whatever they want and desire at Peinture Fraîche. Beside it, Boucle d'Or offers a selection of adorable children clothes and accessories. Rose offers a marvelous choice of unusual objects as well as gifts to offer others, or just yourself.
On Rue de l’Aqueduc for any fashion collector : great news ! The renowned Moss & Bros has opened the doors of its first brussels boutique. At number 75, Tan, a concept store encompassing an organic restaurant, cooking school and grocery shop, enhances the true taste of food. On the corner, Convivio offers sophisticated Italian cuisine on the ground floor of a building with striking architecture.
The Place du Châtelain has attracted designers with its Wednesday afternoon market: the Marché du Châtelain, the hip place to shop and mingle while buying organic veggies. Stop off at Bo Flowers, a new generation of florists. At No 38, discover Mais il est où le soleil, with its sophisticated fashion and colourful accessories. On Number 18, in the back of a quiet courtyard, New Stuff displays an exclusive collection of decorative objects. In front, the little showroom of Mia Zia showcases the different pieces of its clothing, accessory and house collection.
Close by, on Rue du Magistrat, the Suite boutique is dedicated solely to trousers : it offers a vast and luxurious choice of them, from basics to refined designer ones.
On Rue Washington, the windows of Basile et Boniface, are always enchanting, and boasts an original selection of clothes, gifts and furniture for children.
Rue Americaine, on number 25, visit the Horta Museum, located in the Art Nouveau house the famous Belgian architect Victor Horta built in 1898.
On Rue Tenbosch, the InStore showroom represents one of the biggest brands in contemporary design and furniture.
Rue du Page,, on the right at number 19, the accessory designer Olivia Hainaut just recently opened the doors of her workshop boutique. Admire her craftwork, superb flower jewellery and fringe scarves with punched leather. Slightly further up, the restaurant Le Fils de Jules is a true culinary journey in the heart of the Basque and Landes territory. Opposite, the Basque bar El Vasco, a caterer and wine bar, brings together the lovers of the south-west of France’s flavours. In a very beautiful Art Deco setting, this cuisine coming from the heart evolves in sync with the seasons : from robust mountain dishes to gourmet foie gras delicacies .
